Zoi Roupakia has been announced as a winner of an A' Design Award 2023

A' Design Award and Competition is proud to tell that the pendant “Gold wind of life” by Zoi Roupakia has been awarded with the notable A' Design Award at Jewelry, Eyewear and Watch Design Competition picked as a winner by the transnational judges of the A' Design Awards & Competitions among thousands of nominated projects.

The pendant is an artwork that draws inspiration from Zoi Roupakia's minimalistic style, Greek culture, and a line from Odysseus Elytis's poem. The designer had to consider the limitations of 3D printing technology while balancing the intricate design to create a lightweight and durable pendant. This project showcases the potential of 3D printing technology to create visually appealing jewelry that incorporates cultural elements, resulting in a meaningful product that can be worn as a statement piece or subtle accessory.

Zoi Roupakia has been announced as a winner of the famed A' Design Award

A' Design Award and Competition is proud to tell that the jewelry work Phaino by Zoi Roupakia has been awarded with the notable A' Design Award at Jewelry, Eyewear and Watch Design Competition picked as a winner by the transnational judges of the A' Design Awards & Competitions among thousands of nominated projects.

Zoi Roupakia, the designer of the awarded jewelry design work Phaino demonstrates “Phaino is a 3D printed jewelry collection combining art and technology. It consists of earrings and pendants. Each piece is the 3D recreation of a minimalistic conceptual artwork of Zoi Roupakia, which reveals the depth of human interaction, feelings and ideas. A 3D model is extracted from each of the artworks and a 3D printer produces the jewelry in 14K gold, rose gold, or rhodium plated brass. The jewelry designs retain the artistic value and the aesthetics of minimalism and become pieces that reveal a meaning to people, as the name Phaino means.”

The creations of Zoi are dipped in minimalism and make you feel a sweet peace, as when you have almost fallen asleep, and a delightful dream is formed in your subconscious. One more artist who also works on photography. Her work is more than interesting.

Conceptual minimalism, politics and identity: a conversation with multidisciplinary artist Zoi Roupakia

Conceptual minimalism, politics and identity: a conversation with multidisciplinary artist Zoi Roupakia by Delphi Reclaimed.

ZoiRoupakia_3.JPG
It’s rare to find an artist whose work is immediately identifiable as theirs… as if it has its own hyper-specific flavor. There’s rarely any questioning of an O’Keeffe flower or Jimi Hendrix solo. I felt this way when I stumbled upon the Instagram of multidisciplinary artist Zoi Roupakia. Despite the popularity of minimal art, there’s something that defies words that made hers her own. And while there’s plenty of work out there that falls under the umbrella of minimalism, Roupakia’s work speaks to the power of what shines through when you pare down.
